The Committee for Bellarine is an Incorporated,
not for profit organisation of volunteers, covering the
Bellarine Peninsula Region.
Our ideology gleaned from attendees of our first symposium in 2010:-
WE LEAD AND DRIVE OPPORTUNITIES THAT ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE ON THE BELLARINE.
- Identify = We take ideas and create real projects including BUY BELLARINE PRODUCE BARN
- Facilitate = We connect the appropriate people, find practical solutions and define next steps.
- Promote = We communicate openly, responsibly and effectively within our network, our partners, the community, and the media.
The long-term focus of the Committee for Bellarine will be to:-
- Establish and build a strong community presence.
- Establish taskforces using our diverse membership base.
- Establish a positive community relationship.
- Improve community attitudes to economic innovation and dynamism.
- Continue funding its operation as a not-for-profit organisation.
Bellarine 2050 Program:
a) To conduct thorough quantitative and qualitative research and analysis towards building a comprehensive and cohesive Data Base and current assessment of The Bellarine.
b) To identify major needs, issues and opportunities that will benefit community, environment, commerce and future development on The Bellarine using the Data Base.
Bellarine 2050 Program objectives:
Develop a comprehensive Data Base and information/research resource for community, commercial, government and planning organisations.
Identify major issues, needs, priorities and opportunities on The Bellarine.
Develop recommendations for key actions and projects.
Establish within Deakin, a best practice model for community research, review and development that is transferable and useable across Australia.
Facilitation of ongoing community planning, and environmental development on the Bellarine. Enhance community and liveability
on The Bellarine.
Collaboration by Deakin with Committee for Bellarine to ensure local knowledge and participation in development and implementation.
Enable Bellarine residents and community to have input and influence in future direction and development at all levels.
BUY BELLARINE PRODUCE BARN – a program of the Committee for Bellarine
The Buy Bellarine vision is to encourage and support the quality, quantity and variety of fresh, locally available produce and products of The Bellarine and in so doing, enhance and protect its rural and natural environment with the support and endorsement of businesses, both large and small.
A non profit incorporated Association completely run and staffed by VOLUNTEERS.

The Buy Bellarine Barn is your source for many local farm fresh products from the leading Bellarine growers and producers.
The Buy Bellarine Produce Barn is centrally located on The Bellarine at Tuckerberry Hill Farm, Becks Road, Drysdale, just 3 kms east of the Drysdale township along Murradoc Road, and is the weekend focal point for the sales and distribution of our fresh, locally grown and processed produce and products.
Opening hours are from 9.00am to 3.00pm on Saturday and Sunday, drop in and let us share the experience with you. Partake of the tasty delights from the adjacent Tuckerberry Hill Cafe – specializing with their fresh, on site grown strawberries and blueberries – either au natural, or in muffins, ice creams and deserts all washed down with freshly made hot coffee, mocha or the super special hot chocolate.
