Workers Compensation Nsw

New South Wales Shadow Minister for Finance Daniel Mookhey says NSW Treasurer Dominic Perrottet needs to take control of icare and prioritise the workers compensation scheme.

The NSW Workers compensation system allegedly has about 52,000 sick and injured workers underpaid potentially million.

Mr Mookhey described the allegations as “shocking” and the worst wage theft scandal to hit any Australian government.

“I think that what needs to happen here is for the treasurer to step in and take control of his agency and to put the workers compensation scheme first and move to replace the icare leadership,” Mr Mookhey told Sky News.

“The Treasurer has got to explain now what steps he is taking to investigate the extraordinary allegations we heard.”
